Live blackjack at VegasNow: tables, side bets and the bonus maths
VegasNow's live blackjack lobby is built around three Evolution table families: classic seven-chair games, Infinite Blackjack with no player cap and Power Blackjack with its trimmed shoe. This page walks through a hand, every bet type, how to fit a hand inside the A$8 bonus limit and why the cards earn only one tenth credit toward wagering.

Quick reference: VegasNow live blackjack tables and terms
In brief: three families of Evolution table, five side bets, a 10% wagering weight and an A$8 ceiling per bet whenever a bonus is live. Each row below names its source, so you can check it before taking a seat.

Payout odds and table limits are missing on purpose. They vary from table to table, and each one shows its own on screen.
One live blackjack hand, from chips down to settlement
A hand has four stages, and only one of them needs a decision from you. Nobody else at the table is your opponent: each seat plays its own hand against the dealer.
Chips down
While the countdown runs, place your main bet in your seat. Side bets sit in the smaller circles beside it and are optional.
The deal
Every seat gets two cards. The dealer also takes two and turns one over. That card is called the upcard, and it is your only clue to the dealer's total.
Your call
Draw, or stand on what you hold. Where the rules panel allows doubling or splitting, either one puts a matching second stake down. Go past 21 and the hand is lost on the spot.
House hand and payout
When the last seat is done, the dealer plays out the house hand under the fixed rules shown on the table. Hands still standing are compared with it, and the one nearer 21 takes it.
Payment then runs on two tracks. The main bet rides on that comparison. Every side bet rides only on its own condition, which is why one can pay on a hand that loses, or miss on a hand that wins.
Seven seats, unlimited seats or a trimmed shoe
Pick by what you want from the session: a chair of your own, no queue for a chair, or a game built differently. Our live casino lobby carries all three from Evolution.
Seven-seat tables
Seven hands against one dealer. When every chair is taken, Bet Behind still gets you a stake in the round. The two common side bets, Perfect Pairs and 21+3, feature on most of them.
Infinite Blackjack
No cap on how many people play, so a full table never stops you. Three extra side bets join the usual two: Any Pair, Hot 3 and Bust It.
Power Blackjack
Eight decks go into the shoe, then every 9 and every 10 comes out while the court cards remain. Its side-bet menu matches Infinite Blackjack.
Give Power Blackjack a second look before your first hand. With two whole ranks gone, the two-card totals you are dealt change in kind and frequency, so habits from a classic table do not transfer neatly. A strategy chart only helps if it was written for the shoe in front of you. Deck counts elsewhere vary too, and each rules panel states its own.
Named tiles you may spot include Ruby Blackjack 72, Emerald Blackjack 95 and the Live88 table Blackjack 8 Español; what opens for you differs by region and account.
The main bet, Bet Behind and five side bets
Your decisions steer one stake only, the main bet. Every other wager either copies another player's choices or settles on a condition of its own.
| Wager | What it rides on | Tables | Decisions made by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main bet | Your hand beating the dealer's | All | You |
| Bet Behind | Someone else's seated hand | Seven-seat | That player |
| Perfect Pairs | Your opening two cards pairing up, graded mixed, coloured or perfect by how closely they match | Most | Nobody, the deal decides |
| 21+3 | Your two cards and the upcard making a three-card poker hand | Most | Nobody |
| Any Pair, Hot 3 | Conditions listed in that table's paytable | Infinite, Power | Nobody |
| Bust It | A dealer bust, the house hand passing 21 | Infinite, Power | Nobody |
Three rules cover every extra. It is a stake of its own with a paytable of its own. It settles separately. And it never changes the main result: losing one does not hurt a winning hand, and winning one cannot save a bust.
Bet Behind is the one most often misread. You choose a seat and an amount, nothing more. The seated player decides when to draw or stand, and your chips are paid at whatever the table pays on that hand. If you want to make the calls yourself, Infinite Blackjack ends the wait for a free chair.
Dividing A$8 across a hand while a VegasNow bonus runs
While a bonus is live, no bet may exceed A$8. The safe way to apply that at blackjack is to count everything you commit in one round: main bet, side bets, any Bet Behind stake and the chips a double or split would add. Settle the split before the countdown starts, because there is no time for sums mid-hand.
| Layout | Main bet | Extras | Most committed | Within A$8? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main bet alone, no double planned | A$8 | None | A$8 | Yes, nothing spare |
| Main bet with room to double | A$4 | None | A$8 doubled | Yes |
| Two side bets and room to double | A$3 | A$1 Perfect Pairs, A$1 21+3 | A$8 doubled | Yes |
| Infinite table with Bust It | A$6 | A$2 Bust It | A$8 | Yes, but doubling makes it A$14 |
| Seven-seat table plus Bet Behind | A$4 | A$2 Perfect Pairs, A$3 Bet Behind | A$9 | No, A$1 over |
| Splitting a pair | A$6 | None | A$12 once split | No, A$4 over |
A handy formula: start at A$8, subtract your side bets, then halve the rest. That gives the largest opening bet that still leaves room for one double or one split. With A$2 of side bets it is A$3; with A$3 of side bets, A$2.50.
Why VegasNow counts each blackjack dollar as ten cents
Blackjack contributes one tenth of each stake to bonus wagering. Our general bonus terms, dated 26 February 2024, give every game type its own weight: pokies count in full (some titles are excepted), roulette at a quarter, blackjack and game shows at a tenth, and baccarat not at all. So an A$5 hand nudges the counter by 50 cents, win or lose.
Worked through on a first deposit of A$420: the opening stage of the welcome package matches 150%, which is A$630 of bonus. At 40× that becomes a A$25,200 requirement, due within seven days. At one tenth credit, blackjack needs A$252,000 of stakes to supply it.
| Where you play | Credit per A$1 | Bets of A$8 needed | Daily, across the week | Total staked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pokies outside the excepted list | A$1.00 | 3,150 | 450 | A$25,200 |
| Roulette tables | 25 cents | 12,600 | 1,800 | A$100,800 |
| Live blackjack | 10 cents | 31,500 | 4,500 | A$252,000 |
| Game shows, Crazy Time included | 10 cents | 31,500 | 4,500 | A$252,000 |
| Baccarat | Nothing | Cannot be reached | None | No amount works |
The package covers casino and live-casino play, so blackjack is permitted while it runs. Alongside it sit one active bonus at a time, an A$5,000 limit on winnings from each deposit-bonus offer, and the seven days. Apart from any bonus, each deposit has to be played through three times before you can withdraw the money linked to it, which on A$420 is A$1,260.
Hands per day: the pace problem with clearing at the table
Two things slow a live table down as a clearing tool: the weight and the speed. The terms set one. The dealer sets the other.
On weight, a maximum A$8 hand credits 80 cents, and no hand can do better. That makes 31,500 hands the floor for the A$420 example. Drop to A$4 a hand and it doubles to 63,000, or 9,000 a day for a week.
On speed, a live dealer waits for every seat before the next hand, and nobody can hurry the shoe. Meanwhile the seven-day clock runs whether the stream is open or not. Skilful play does not shorten anything either. The counter measures stake size, not results, so good decisions protect your balance while leaving the requirement exactly where it was.
And the bankroll has to survive. The A$420 deposit plus A$630 of bonus is A$1,050 in play, which would need to cycle 240 times to produce A$252,000 of stakes. No long-run average can say how a run that long ends.
Three ways to handle a VegasNow bonus if blackjack is your game
There are three sensible routes; which suits you depends on how much of the week you want at a table. Same A$420 deposit, same A$25,200 requirement:
| Route | Stakes needed | Rules still in force | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clear everything at blackjack | A$252,000 at the table | A$8 cap, seven days, 10% credit | Almost nobody: 4,500 maximum hands daily |
| Pokies for most of it, cards to finish | A$24,000 on pokies, then A$12,000 of hands: A$36,000 overall | A$8 cap and the seven days | Anyone who wants the bonus plus some table time |
| Say no to the bonus | None toward a requirement | Deposit played through three times (A$1,260) before withdrawing | Players who came mainly for blackjack |
Our general terms allow any bonus to be declined, and doing so removes the A$8 ceiling, the clock and the requirement together. If one is already running, find out from support what happens to the funds attached to it before you confirm. As only a single bonus can be live, saying no also frees the slot for the next offer you actually want.
What 1 point per A$250 adds up to at VegasNow
Blackjack earns one loyalty point per A$250 of real-money wagering, the slowest rate in the programme and the same as baccarat. Pokies earn a point per A$25 and roulette a point per A$100. Points follow turnover, so a good night and a bad night of equal size score identically.
| Real-money blackjack | Wagered | Points |
|---|---|---|
| An evening of 65 hands at A$4 | A$260 | 1, plus A$10 toward a second |
| Twelve such evenings in a month | A$3,120 | 12 |
| Smallest Loyalty Store exchange | A$50,000 | 200 |
| Golden Glimmer II, 600 status points | A$150,000 | 600 |
At the opening level, Golden Glimmer, 200 points convert to an A$5 bonus. It carries 40× wagering, so A$200 is owed: A$200 on a pokie, or A$2,000 back at the cards at one tenth credit. Rates improve further up. Bella Vista, the top level, turns 100,000 points into A$5,000, and Parisian Palace Las Vegas gives A$20 for 750.
So count blackjack points as a small extra, not a reason to keep playing. That same A$260 evening on pokies would bring 10 points. Thresholds and Sin City, our selection-based VIP lounge, are covered on the VIP and loyalty page.
Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback: where to find its terms
Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback is the recurring offer on our list built for blackjack players. Its rate, cap, qualifying period and any wagering do not appear on the public promotions page; they are on the offer card inside your VegasNow account, and that card is what counts. We give no figures for it, and an outside page that does is guessing.
It runs alongside eight other recurring offers, from Monthly Bankroll Booster through to Sunday Split. Two of those publish headline numbers: on Tuesdays, Lucky 7s Load Up matches 77% up to A$77 per deposit, repeatable; on Fridays, Friday Night Spotlight adds 40 free spins on the featured game with each qualifying deposit.
Before you opt in to any of them, read four things on the card:
- the amount and whether it lands as cash or bonus funds;
- any wagering multiple and the game weights behind it;
- the period covered and the day it is credited;
- whether a bonus you already hold blocks it, as only one can be live.
Anything paid as bonus funds follows the general bonus terms unless its card says otherwise, so the one-tenth blackjack weight applies there too. The weekly promotions page maps out the full week.
Taking a VegasNow blackjack seat from your phone
Live blackjack plays in your mobile browser. There is no VegasNow app in Apple's or Google's stores and no APK, so be wary of any download that uses our name.
For one-tap access, pin the site to your Home Screen. In Safari on an iPhone: Share, then Add to Home Screen, keeping Open as Web App on. In Chrome on Android: the menu, then Install or create a shortcut, labelled Add to Home screen on older builds. The icon opens the same site, account and cashier.
Live hands need a steady signal, because the decision timer keeps the dealer's pace, not your phone's. Choose early in the window. If the stream drops mid-hand, jot down the table name, the time and the round reference, then send them to support by live chat or at support@vegasnow.com. The mobile app page has screen-by-screen set-up.
Seven blackjack errors worth avoiding at VegasNow
Most costly slips at the table come from misreading a rule, not from a bad card.
- Assuming full wagering credit. Blackjack counts at a tenth: A$25,200 owed means A$252,000 of hands.
- Leaving the extras out of your sums. With a bonus live, side bets, Bet Behind and a planned double all come out of one A$8.
- Using a classic strategy chart at Power Blackjack. With no 9s or 10s in the shoe, the card mix is not the same.
- Expecting Bet Behind to give you the decisions. The seated player chooses; your chips just follow.
- Relying on a side bet as insurance. It settles on its own, apart from the hand. A winning 21+3 does nothing for a bust.
- Cashing out right after depositing. Three times the deposit has to be staked first; ask too soon and you risk a refusal or a processing charge.
- Working off a bonus at baccarat. Baccarat earns zero credit, so the counter stays put.
Setting limits before the first card is dealt
Fix your session budget before choosing a table, and set a deposit limit so the decision still holds once the cards are flowing. A run of losing hands does not make a win due, and raising the stake to recover only speeds the losses.
Just Entertainment B.V. runs VegasNow under licence OGL/2024/164/0246 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, listed on the regulator's validator. Play is for adults aged 18 and over. Your account includes deposit limits and self-exclusion, and the responsible gambling page walks through each one. Free, confidential help is available from Gambling Help Online: call 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au.
Three questions are worth asking before each session. How much am I prepared to lose tonight? When will I stop, win or lose? Is a bonus running, and if so, does my bet layout stay inside A$8? If any answer is fuzzy, settle it before the first hand.
Live blackjack at VegasNow: your questions answered
How many people can play at one VegasNow live blackjack table?
Classic Evolution tables have seven chairs, while Infinite Blackjack has no player cap. If a seven-chair table is full, Bet Behind gives you a stake on someone else's hand, with that player making the calls.
Can I use live blackjack to clear the welcome bonus?
Yes, but each stake counts at one tenth. On an A$420 first deposit the A$25,200 requirement takes A$252,000 of hands, against A$25,200 on pokies that count in full.
What is the largest bet allowed on a hand with a bonus active?
A$8 per bet. At blackjack the cautious approach counts side bets, Bet Behind and any double or split inside that figure. When the bonus ends or you decline it, the table limits take over.
Which side bets are offered?
Most tables carry Perfect Pairs and 21+3. Infinite and Power Blackjack also offer Any Pair, Hot 3 and Bust It. Every one is a separate wager with its own paytable and has no effect on the main hand.
How is Power Blackjack different from a classic table?
The shoe starts as eight decks, then all 9s and 10s are removed while the court cards stay. The two-card totals you see shift as a result, so read the rules panel before playing.
How fast does blackjack earn loyalty points?
One point per A$250 of real-money play. The 200-point minimum exchange, worth A$5 at Golden Glimmer, therefore takes A$50,000 at the tables, and the resulting bonus carries 40× wagering.
What does Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback pay?
Its rate, cap and conditions appear only on the offer card in your account, so we do not publish a figure. If it pays bonus funds, our general bonus terms apply unless the card states different ones.
Can I play blackjack with no bonus at all?
Yes. Declining a bonus is allowed and removes the A$8 limit, the seven-day window and the requirement. You still need to stake your deposit three times before a withdrawal.
